I walked in the door to be welcomed by lovely staff who recommended a wine that was bang on at the end of a hard day. I chose a quiet corner, put my feet up and relaxed …… for an hour at least.
I ordered a cheese board and another wine. The cheese board was incredible…… very simple – lovely chutney, 3 delicious cheeses – plenty of it!! Yes, plenty. And delicious seeded crackers, once again, plenty. Just wonderful. Fantastic staff, very helpful and a chef who is open to customer requests. Well done to you all Duke of Wellington staff and management.

We visited this place with family after being recommended it a while ago and were so glad we did! Great atmosphere with funky decor, friendly staff and lovely food! They have an extensive food and drinks menu and as I’m one of those people who can never choose what to eat I happily took the recommendation from our server and had the fish and chips which was very nice. All in all we had a lovely lunch in a really nice pub.
